2007 Membership Drive

OVERVIEW
The strengthening of the major business organization on Cape Ann means the strengthening of your "voice" on Cape Ann. On Wednesday, September 26, through Friday, September 28, the Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce will become headquarters for another exciting telephone contact campaign to recruit new members. Our goal for this Drive is to bring in 100 new members, bringing the total Chamber membership to 1,250!

President Ruth Pino of Carlson GMAC Real Estate has appointed First Vice President Steve Kaity of Strong Group and Chairman of the Board Robert Gillis of Cape Ann Savings Bank to co-chair this critical Chamber campaign. Six teams, each working in four-hour shifts, will compete with one another to see which team can bring in the most new members.

WIN PRIZES!
Volunteers will be rewarded for recruiting new members with prizes, which include weekend getaways, dining certificates, theater tickets, bottles of wine, and many other wonderful prizes donated by members of the Chamber. The volunteer who sells the most new Chamber memberships will receive a trip for two to Aruba! Teams will also be provided with complimentary breakfast, lunch, and snacks throughout the day.

GAIN EXPOSURE AND EXPERIENCE!
Volunteers will also receive public recognition, personal networking opportunities, and professional training in telemarketing and sales techniques.

MEMBERSHIP DRIVE TEAM CAPTAINS
The Team Captain is an essential individual, highly respected in the business community, whose involvement is vital to the success of the campaign. The primary responsibility of the Team Captain is to help the Chamber recruit a winning team to sell new chamber memberships. Volunteers are given the opportunity to "pre-sell" by contacting non-member companies before the actual phone-a-thon.
