Health Insurance Options

The Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce is pleased to offer member businesses health and dental insurance coverage, as well as the services of local health insurance brokers who will be happy to assist you in customizing your health insurance plans.

Blue Cross/Blue Shield. This HMO plan is available the first of each month. Plans are available to groups and individuals.

Tufts Associated Health Plan. HMO and POS plans are available the first of each month. No health questions are asked and coverage is guaranteed issue. There are several plans available with various rates, co-pays, and benefit options.

Harvard Pilgrim Health Care. Many HMO plans are available where subscribers have the ability to choose a primary care physician. They also offer a point-of-service plan that allows an individual the option to choose at which point or place they receive care. Both options cover annual eye exams and preventative dental, and are available to self-employed individuals or businesses with 1-9 employees.

Neighborhood Health Plan. Coverage for most routine, specialty and hospital care. Utilizing a variety of health centers and private physicians.

Cigna Health Care. An HMO Value Plan.

Fallon Community Health Plan. This plan, available the first of each month, offers eight HMOs to choose from as well as PPO plans.

Aetna U.S. Healthcare. Offers several options, including HMO plans where subscribers have the ability to choose a primary care physician, and a POS plan that allows for greater freedom of choice. Both options cover annual eye exams. All plans are available to businesses with one or more employees.

GE Financial Employer Services Group. Short and Long Term Disability, Dental, and Group Life insurance available for groups of two employees or more. Several benefit options for both group short term and long term benefits. First day accident/eighth day sickness. Low cost term life with high guaranteed issue amounts.

John Alden/PPO. This PPO is available the first of each month for businesses with two or more full-time employees. There are plans available with various options, including prescriptions. All plans include in and out of network benefits.

United Health Care. Covers most of Massachusetts. Choice Plus Plans. Several plan options to choose from.

Health New England. Available to Western Massachusetts only, and offering seven HMO plans and one POS which to choose.

Insurance Partnership Program. Offering HAS and FlexPlan coverage through the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Cafeteria Plan Section 125 IRS Code. Comprehensive health insurance coverage through the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Dental. Various plans offered through Delta, Principal, Guardian, Genworth, MetLife and Assurant.
